Injectable PRF (i-PRF)
What is Injectable PRF (i-PRF)?
Injectable PRF is a fully autologous, second generation biomaterial, obtained by slow centrifugation of whole blood. Its unique property is that, it stays as a liquid for a period of approximately 20 minutes after which the fibrin polymerization takes place and a solid membrane is formed. It has a three-dimensional fibrin network containing the cellular components distributed within the mesh. This helps in slow and measured release of growth factors over a period of time, so the effect lasts longer.
Once delivered, PRF works by improving blood circulation, nourishing the follicles, and reducing inflammation – all essential factors in promoting thicker, healthier hair growth.
